Welcome to our guesthouse ‘Am Weberplatz’, situated not far from the university campus, and just a ten-minute drive from the historical centre. We take good care of you here – so you can fully enjoy your stay in a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, away from the tourist hustle and bustle. We run more than just a guesthouse. Originally built exclusively for guest lecturers at Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden) in 1997, the 60 large, comfortable rooms are now available to everyone and offer a real alternative to hotels in Dresden. Thanks to its proximity to TU Dresden, our guesthouse remains a popular choice for academics today.

Not far from the lush Great Garden Park, we offer a great combination of home comforts and new experiences. Dresden’s city centre is easy to reach from here by public transport. Explore Dresden by bus and rail, the stop is just two minutes’ walk away.
Wide range of choices
Whether single, double, family or wheelchair-accessible rooms, many with balconies – we have ideal accommodation for every need, even for your four-legged friend on request (pets permitted by request only). Extra beds can be added to many rooms. You can access your room conveniently by lift. Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire building.
Personal guest service
Our reception opening hours are 8 am to 8 pm. Still, on request it is always possible to check-in later that that.

Guests arriving by car, motorcycle or bike can use our underground car park or the parking spaces outside our guesthouse.
Restaurant and coffee lounge
Our 4th floor restaurant, ‘Da Franco Ristorante’, serves Italian haute cuisine. On warm days, you can enjoy your breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a view of Dresden.

Our spacious single rooms are furnished in a modern style. Each room has a desk, a shower and a toilet, hair-dryer, telephone, room safe, cable TV and partly a mini-refrigerator. You can also use our Wi-Fi free of charge.

Family rooms
The family rooms offer enough space for an enjoyable night with your entire family. As standard, they are fitted with three beds. On request, a fourth bed and a baby’s cot can be added.

Handicapped-accessible rooms
Our handicapped-accessible rooms are designed with the special needs of wheelchair users in mind. The rooms have wider doors and a textile floor covering. The bathrooms have ground-level showers. A second bed is also available.
